The Vanguard

So. You’ve found my little home on the web. How fascinating. I suspect you now want to know something about the human who keeps writing hideously long rants and posting them here for your amusement.

Oh, alright then.

At the risk of turning this into a giant autobiography, I’ll refrain from giving you my life story, because, quite frankly, it’s not that interesting. But I’ll try and give you a summary of who I am, should you care that much to even look at this page.

Alex (that is, me) is a 25 year old queertrans* writer, student and human being. They live in Perth, Western Australia. They like having a blog like this so that they have somewhere to sprout their nonsensical vitriol about topics they don’t actually know anything about. They also really like languages and the singular “they” and is quite the grammar nazi. They have a particular dislike for netspeak, and would very much like to eradicate it from the world.

Basically, this is a vanity project. My ideas, my writing, my thoughts, my website/blog/thing. I blog about just about anything that comes to mind, though particular topics of opinion are politics, religion, gender and sexuality, and society in general. Though the more personal and thoughtful religious entries will be posted first over at my other site, Per Sebek, and cross-posted here if I feel they are relevant.

I also want to use this for my fiction, to kinda talk about and discuss my fiction, which is another thing I write. I don’t just write ranty blog posts, you know. The fiction I write is mostly dystopian, and mostly set in Australia. But I won’t detail that here, there will be a separate page for that, should you be interested in that.
